ICCBR'99 is the third in a biennial series of very successful conferences previously held in Sesimbra (1995) and Providence (1997). This Third International Conference on Case-Based Reasoning was held at the beautiful Monastery Seeon, near Munich, Germany, on July 27-30, 1999, immediately prior to IJCAI-99.
The three-and-a-half-day conference program included invited talks, panels, presentations, and posters on both fundamental and applied research in Case-Based Reasoning (CBR). ICCBR'99 started with an Industry Day, where the focus was on industrial-strength technology and industrial applications. In addition, there was a small number of half-day workshops on specific topics.
