TRUE and Story Cases: Traces for Reusing Users' Experiences - Cases, Episodes, and Stories

The opportunity to collect user experience as traces enables reusing those traces in CBR processes, since such traces capture past user experiences. Therefore, traces constitute a knowledge container from which a CBR process may build and reuse cases or traces. The goal of the workshop is to gather and contrast approaches in exploiting traces for various tasks and domains through CBR.

The importance of “stories” in Case-Based Reasoning research goes back to the seminal work of Roger Schank on episodic memories. In this workshop we intend to explore a very broad interpretation of reasoning with stories that may include: narratives, traces of user behaviors while interacting with a (gaming or non-gaming) system, presentations, and other environment interactions that can be represented as an event sequence.
